The Oxfordshire Artweeks season is upon us once again and all the signs are that this year will be as successful as the last.
The ever growing market town of Bicester will once again play host to an exciting array of creatives that will be exhibiting very soon from the 18th until 27th May. No less than 41 artists and creatives are taking part in 6 venues across Bicester and its surrounding villages. Venues such as HMP Bullingdon Visitor Centre and the OYAP Trust at the Old St Edburg's School and home studios.
Read on for more information about the venues, dates and times, artists, how to get here and of course parking during your visit.
It never ceases to impress me how many creative people live and work in Bicester and the different media types thay choose to work with is equally as varied. This year we can see artists that have a real talent for Acrylics, Pastels, Encaustic art, and Watercolours to mention a few. But it doesn't stop there, there are textile artists and sculptors too that explore shape, form and texture in the most imaginative ways.
Oxfordshire Artweeks is FREE to attend which is a great thing these days. So feel free to visit, browse and admire and if you are tempted, artists will also selling their creations and you will often find cards and other arty items for sale too.
We would also like to express huge thanks to our sponsors this year, KMS Litho for Printing the Trail Map, Bicester Village, and the OYAP Trust for the great venue.
For an online map of the Bicester venues with details of local parking see below. We have also suggested a walking route for those with an appitite for a bit of exercise!
